Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical Will Debut on New Year's Day

Ratatouille: The Musical is coming to TikTok for an exciting one-night performance. The musical's star-studded cast will come together to reenact the events of the Pixar classic on TikTok.

The First-Ever Ratatouille Musical Hits TikTok

Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical will debut on TikTok on January 1, 2021. If a Ratatouille musical seems sudden (and a bit random), that's because it is.

The musical was born out of a group of TikTokers' passion for music. Talented TikTok creator, Emily Jacobsen, started the Ratatouille craze without ever intending it to become a full-blown musical.

After Jacobsen created a Ratatouille-inspired song on TikTok, composer Daniel Mertzlufft added music to make it Broadway-ready. This TikTok collaboration morphed into an original composition, Remy the Ratatouille, which you'll get to hear during the musical.

Other original musical scores were created by TikTokers from across the platform, and even the playbill was designed by a TikTok creator. The entire musical was sourced on TikTok, so it's only right that it will debut on TikTok too.

Surprisingly enough, the virtual musical will feature a famous cast. Big names on Broadway, like Wayne Brady, Tituss Burgess, Adam Lambert, and Kevin Chamberlain will all appear in the show.

Broadway veterans also contributed their expertise when creating the show. Lucy Moss, the co-director of SIX, directed the production, while Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley wrote the book.

How to Watch Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical

The stream will start on TikTok at 7pm EST, and you'll be able to watch it for 72 hours after that. This means you'll have until 7pm on January 4, 2021, to get your fill until it gets taken down.

Like any other musical performance, you'll have to pay for tickets. You can buy tickets on TodayTix, starting at $5. Since proceeds go to The Actors Fund, you're encouraged to pay a little more for your ticket.

After purchasing your ticket, TodayTix will send you a streaming link to the show. Keep in mind that if you only have one ticket, you can only stream the musical from one device at a time.

Kick Off 2021 With a Virtual Musical

Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical is a great way to start off the New Year. When you're ready to tune in, kick back, open TikTok, and enjoy the show from the comfort of your home.

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 was the year of virtual meetups, concerts, and events. All of these virtual experiences paved the way for Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical.

If there's one good thing that came out of 2020, it's that streaming live events and meeting up with long-distance friends has become easier than ever.

The 9 Different Types of NFTs

Jack Dorsey, the creator of Twitter, sold the world's first tweet for $2.9 million; this bit of news is what introduced most people to the world of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). Now all the rage, NFTs are being bought and sold like priceless pieces of art. The NFT market is seemingly swarming with digital Mona Lisas, but the question is: besides tweets and pictures, what other types of NFTs are there in the wild? Let's take a dive into the world of NFTs and find that answer. First Off: What Are NFTs?
